Augusta is a little girl from an English village. Her best friends are cute Noreen and spectacled good-looker Betsy-Ann. She lives with her parents and her brother Clive.
Her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Quincy, is the proper ”femme fatale” who does not appreciate being called “grandmother”. She surrounds herself with a number of admirers. Her maternal grandmother Bravo fits the image of the gentle, knitting grandmother better. She can’t stand even hearing Mrs. Quincy’s name.
Apart from these characters, the family consists of two dogs, a cat and a parrot.
